When should I schedule my cake tasting?

For tiered cakes and wedding cakes we recommend scheduling your cake tasting with us at least 3 months prior to your event date. The order must be finalized and placed a minimum of 21 days prior to the event.  If you are past the cut off and we are still able to accommodate your order, a rush fee may apply. 

How far in advance should I order my cake?

We recommend placing your order with us a minimum of 3 months prior to your event date. However, if you have a vision in mind the sooner the better!

How much are your wedding cakes?

Starting price for our 2-tiered cakes begin at $295.00 and go up from there depending on the flavor and design selected. During your cake tasting appointment the coordinator will be able to discuss in detail pricing depending on your event size and what you are looking for.  

What should I expect at my cake tasting? How many people can come with? Is there a charge?

The cake tasting is a 1-hour consultation that covers 4 people (including yourself). The cake tasting is a $50.00 fee that is not applied nor refunded if you place an order with us. 

During your cake tasting you will sample cake flavors and discuss the design elements for your wedding cake. We recommend bringing with you any photo inspiration ideas, color swatches, and/or cake topper with you if you have one. It is important you are on time for your scheduled appointment with us; If you are late to your appointment, we reserve the right to reschedule your appointment for a different day/time depending on availabilty. 

When does my wedding order/tiered cake need to be finalized by?

How long can my wedding/tiered cake be displayed?

Our wedding/tiered cakes can be displayed between 1-3 hours in a temperature-controlled environment. 

Do you do fake tiers?

We do not do fake tiers in wedding/tiered cakes (some exceptions may apply for specific custom designs

I have my own cake topper, what should I do?

You can bring your cake topper with you to your cake tasting appointment or drop it off (at least 21 days prior to the event date) so our skilled staff can place it on the cake for you when delivering. Please note, if giving the topper to any other individual other than Oak Mill Bakery, we are not liable for any damage they may cause.

Do you rent cake/cupcake stands?

We do! Please ask a coordinator during your appointment if you are interested and we would be happy to show you our options. 

Do you make ceremonial cutting cakes with sheet cakes on the side to serve guests?

Yes, our ceremonial cutting cakes begin at $149.95 and go up from there depending on size, flavor and design. We also make sheet cakes for any additional servings that are needed.

Can I save the top tier of my wedding cake?

If you are interested in saving the top tier, please let your coordinator know during your cake tasting appointment. 

Can Oak Mill Bakery provide my venue with a certificate of insurance?

Yes, once the order is placed, please let the coordinator know one is needed and who the best point of contact is. We will take care of the rest!
